Quick Bass session on Newton Lake

From Maine, usually fish gin clear water for smallmouth bass. Relatively experienced fishing in water like that in the shallows, know next to nothing about fishing deep. This was one of my first NJ fishing trips.

I use a lot of Senkos and other soft plastics, and I usually go weightless. It was a relatively hot August day, and my girlfriend and I went over to Newton Lake. We parked right on Merrick Ave and I caught this one on a 4" Senko in pumpkin w/ black flake on one of my first casts. It was laying up under an overhanging tree in the shade.

My girlfriend caught one later on, but it wasn't picture worthy. She was using the same style Senko and it was in a similar area.
